“21 Years of Journeys with Jesus”.
It was a “wonderful two days to see just how SVN has grown!” wrote one of the 32 people afterwards, of the 120 volunteers.
SVN started 21 years ago and celebrated its birthday with a party – all as a result of one man, John Hallett, acting in obedience to God’s word.
The Conference was an opportunity
- to understand more of Jesus’ Journeys with Bob Hunt and Ken & Dorothea Hall,
- to share with each other experiences faced in projects abroad,
- to see displays of pictures from past projects,
- to enjoy spending time with other volunteers in a relaxed atmosphere,
- to enjoy some party fun led by staff from All Nations Christian College,
- to hear from John Hallett and Ruth Brooksbank about the start of the Network,
- to engage with people from Mission organisations on the receiving end of SVN work,
- to hear of opportunities in new projects,
- and to have time to worship God together each day.
