WITH WATCHMAN INTERNATIONAL OCTOBER 2017
Susan Kimber and Shirley Lickfold had a very profitable time in Uganda when they gave teacher training to teachers from three schools supported by Watchman International. They spent two days at the residential home, Elizabeth House, for children and young people with disabilities.
"We appreciate the service (training) given to us by SVN (volunteers) because we have learned new skills so we say they should come back for workshops."
Watchman International, represented by Glenys London, was an excellent project with whom to work. Everything happened as planned with the teachers giving up a day’s holiday so that the training could take place in situ in their schools.
The training session was a delight, and when the school was visited three days later the teachers were already implementing some of the ideas from the training.

"Thank you for sending the SVN teachers- they have reminded us of what I had forgotten"
The subsequent two days, spent at Elizabeth House, were amazing. What the founder of the school (an older lady going blind) had achieved was phenomenal and a testimony to God’s grace and loving care. Susan gave an excellent talk to the staff and House Mothers with two teachers from the local school also attending.
"This is to say that I have learned many things that (I) have not been knowing"
