Central Asia home schooling
A family serving in a challenging Central Asian country have requested help with home schooling for their two boys aged 10 and 8. There is a younger brother, aged 3, but his needs can be met by parents. Initially the request was for support for three months or more, but as SVN volunteers usually undertake shorter term projects we are asking for a number of volunteers to support the family, each working for around 4 weeks. The family have lived and worked in development for over 10 years in relative peace.
Longer term opportunities
SVN is sometimes asked if we are able to find teachers for longer term opportunities overseas. Whilst we do not advertise these on our opportunities sheet as we aim to support teachers by training and mentoring, we will pass on details to any SVN volunteers who may interested in teaching overseas.
