There is a proposal to revisit Tuishime school during the summer holidays in 2016. Aspects of training that may be addressed include differentiation and ICT skills [if the internet is connected by then].
There may be an opportunity to work in Kenya with Anchor Education in May 2016. More details will be available at a later date.
IN PARTNERSHIP with Mission Direct
4-6 volunteers are needed. This project is mainly for primary teachers, but volunteers with secondary experience may be interested.
Skills needed include teaching Maths and English, plus early years and interactive teaching methods in general. The use of local resources to make classroom resources may also be useful.

SVN is sometimes asked if we are able to find teachers for longer term opportunities overseas. Whilst we do not advertise these on our opportunities sheet as we aim to support teachers by training and mentoring, we will pass on details to any SVN volunteers who may be interested in teaching overseas.
Meeting the Cost
When God calls us to step out in faith in His service, He will always provide the resources.
If you feel God could be calling you to respond to an overseas opportunity, but are concerned about raising the total cost yourself, please let us know.
SVN has a Bursary Fund which may be able to help.
