  SVN links experienced Christian teachers with agencies, in the UK and abroad, who need their skill and experience
   

If you have been in teaching for several years and are now 'retiring', 'retired' or otherwise available ........... consider putting your experience, maturity and skills to good use in serving education at home and overseas.

You can do this by joining the Senior Volunteer Network and:

  • encouraging and working with Christian schools and educational projects in the developing world
  • supporting and encouraging missionary parents who are home-educating their children
  • helping to prepare Christian teaching materials for use in schools
  • helping prepare untrained volunteers who will go overseas to teach in the developing world
  • proof-reading, researching, reviewing
  • SVN offers training and preparation for these tasks
  • serving in a wide variety of other ways appropriate to your experience and skills.

  • financed by individuals, volunteers and churches

It has the endorsement of:

  • The Association of Christian Teachers (ACT)

It operates in association with Christian Vocations, OMF, Destiny Education, SMILE, and many other NGOs, overseas churches and Mission agencies.
